Whether we’re looking at working with dogs, horses or humans, the process of the portrait session is almost identical. Learn about the steps involved here, along with the investment options available too.

  • Step 1

    Register your interest. It seems simple and it is – simply select a date or outline a deadline, let Chelsea know a little about the subject and share your general location…

  • Step 2

    At this point, Chelsea will complete a complimentary consultation with you to gather your wishes into a single, or a few, specific concepts. We’ll discuss locations and timings, as well as dates and end goals here before moving on to…

  • Step 3

    Creation. At this point, the creation commences and this could be one single portrait session with you or your preferred subject, or it could be an entire process working through months of individual photo shoots, costuming, styling and more, to result in all of the elements needed to finish the concept identified in the consultation.

    Within creation is also the retouching and post production, where many days are spent carefully working on every inch of the piece to create something truly iconic. At the end of the creation, we’ll then move into…

  • Step 4

    The Reveal. Here, we reconvene either in person or virtually, to reveal the pieces created within Step 3. Often this is the first time you will have seen the elements captured in Step 3 in a finished format.

  • Step 5

    Here the artwork is passed to our printing partners in the Eastern states, where they hand print, hand varnish, hand make and hand frame the artwork to our exacting standards on your request. They then package the piece and deliver it with great care to us, here in Perth.

    Once we have checked the piece, we then deliver it to your door.

  • The Heritage Canvas

    Take the classic Canvas to another level. Acrylic free, fine art canvas framed to perfection. This frame package is made in a way that the canvas print is able to stand up on its own. It’s makes for a lovely display option. This sturdy, trustworthy canvas is just that extra bit special. We love them.

    Printed onto premium canvas, with a protective spray that will add years to the life of something designed to last generations. After the spray has cured, the canvas is hand stretched onto a timber frame.

    Please note, our canvas material is real cotton based canvas, it is a natural material and because of that can have flecks of seeds and grains that add to the texture and should not be seen as faults. 

  • The Muse Frame

    The Muse frame is unique and beautiful. Made with the same quality hand made Italian frame, with a custom arch shaped cutout.

  • The Modern Frame

    The Modern frame is an Italian made frame. The moulding allows for us to frame your print without any glazing. This would normally leave the delicate print in a precarious situation. We have worked with local chemists to develop a protectant that is applied in a way to leave a stunning matte finish while protecting the print. You get a stunning image on your wall with uninterrupted glory.

  • The Collectors Album

    A beautiful 9” x 12” Layflat album with a large range of beautiful textured cloth covers.

    Printed on Signature Fine Art matte paper

    Includes 6 double page spreads

    Arrives packaged in a black presentation box with a professional Album Care Card and white gloves.

  • The Heirloom Box

    Beautiful, handmade boxes for matted images.

    Features a personalised image wrap cover with a satin laminate coating for protection. Perfect for display, while keeping your matted prints safe inside.

  • The Classic Print

    Not a loose print, not a frame, a gorgeous thing in the middle. There’s something lovely about a little bundle of these matted prints.

    A print by itself can be a delicate item. Particularly large prints, matting a print offers some protection and looks beautiful.

I was very nervous to see the final photos and to see if Jessica had captured what I wanted and I quickly realised there was no need to be nervous. Coupled with a brew, we sat down and watched the slideshow, and instantly it brought tears to my eyes.
